Phyllis Harris has enjoyed a happy 30 year career teaching folks of all ages how to dance---with her main focus on sharing the joy of social dancing!
From the popular Club styles, to the upbeat Latin rhythms, elegant Ballroom dances & sensual Argentine Tango, Phyllis shares her knowledge & experience with patience and humor. Not just teaching the necessary basics, but also incorporating creative variations that social dancers can quickly use---PLUS the leading & following skills to make them work!
In addition to her regular classes & private lessons at The Dance Space in Richmond & Tangueros in Midlothian, Phyllis is staff instructor for the dance program at Riverside School---a private academy for children with Dyslexia. She also teaches special workshops for the ROTC program at James River High School and  JRVA Renaissance Cotillion.
Phyllis works regularly in senior communities, providing dance socials & for independent, assisted living & memory care residents. With the help of many local USA Dance volunteers, these events bring music, movement & laughter to people from every background & every age group!

Phyllis is also a supporter of the the Tidewater USA Dance Chapter and one of our Monthy Social Dance Instructors.
